La BBC este un set de sesiuni live de la grupul muzical britanic Siouxsie and the Banshees , lansat la 1 iunie 2009. [3]

Discul

La BBC este format din patru discuri care conțin 84 de melodii remasterizate digital din sesiunile BBC , piese din concerte live și emisiuni TV, înregistrate între 1977 și 1991, împărțite în trei CD-uri și un DVD , plus o carte pe copertă tare.

DVD-ul prezintă mai multe sesiuni live filmate pentru The Old Grey Whistle Test și Oxford Road Show și, pentru prima dată, un concert inedit filmat la Warwick în martie 1981, înainte de albumul Juju , cu John McGeoch la chitară. Robert Smith apare și la chitară în nouă melodii, inclusiv într-o sesiune TV din 1979 și în toate aparițiile de televiziune din noiembrie 1982 până în martie 1984.

"Într-un set de cutii cu patru discuri, trei CD-uri includ sesiunile lor la BBC , dar un DVD vital dezvăluie adevărata natură a Banshees. Nicio greșeală: post-punk-ul a început aici. Și asta nu este jumătate. toamna anului '79, nicio formație britanică nu s-a putut asorta cu Banshees. Cu infamul lor debut improvizat în august '76 la 100 Club Punk Rock Festival au luat DIY prea literal. Un an mai târziu, a reapărut cu o sesiune de la John Peel care a fost la ani lumină distanță de capetele goale ale punkului. Ce debut, încă incredibil de original și încrezător în sine, au început 55 de melodii înregistrate pentru BBC Radio care alcătuiesc primele trei discuri. Un al patrulea include 29 de emisiuni filmate pentru BBC TV. început rece de gheață la Old Grey Whistle Test , la un adio de la șofran la Top of The Pops 13 ani mai târziu, spune povestea transformării celor mai militanți iconoclasti ai punkului într-un colos de muzică alternativă ".
