Lollapalooza este un festival anual de muzică itinerantă care vede muzicii de rock alternativ , rap și punk , precum și piese de dans și comedie . De asemenea, în timpul festivalului sunt găzduite diverse tarabe artizanale .

Perry Farrell a venit cu ideea de a crea Lollapalooza după ultimul turneu Jane's Addiction, înainte ca trupa să se desființeze. Termenul Lollapalooza înseamnă ceva excepțional și neobișnuit.
